All About New Mass Effect


Brand new Mass Effect announced by BioWare, and is currently in development. The upcoming Mass Effect it looks like it's going to to be a direct sequel to both Mass Effect 3 and Mass Effect: Andromeda. But you know that BioWare is still keeping a lot secrets about the next entry into space.


The first teaser trailer for the next Mass Effect game BioWare dropped during in The Game Award 2020. In the trailer Liara T’Soni climbing on mountain picking up a damaged N7 tag from beneath some snow, before looking into the horizon. BioWare project director Michael Gamble said "there's a lot to unpack" on twitter account.


What is the release date of new Mass Effect?


BioWare hasn't announced a release date for this new Mass Effect. The launch platforms for this new Mass Effect haven't been revealed yet. But we assume that Mass Effect will be land on Xbox Series S/X, and PlayStation 5 as well as PC. In the official BioWare blog post, it states that the team is "looking forward to sharing our vision for where we'll be going next." But nothing has been officially out.


Who's making the new Mass Effect?


New Mass Effect could be developed in Unreal Engine 5, and is being made by a Veteran Team at BioWare.


BioWare producer Brenon Holmes has confirmed that Mass Effect 5 will also utilize Unreal Engine via a job posting asking for programmers with Unreal Engine 4 and Unreal Engine 5 experience. The programmers will be working on the new Mass Effect.


What's in the new Mass Effect Trailer?


The trailer showcases two different galaxies, promoting the theory that Mass Effect 5 may be a sequel to both Mass Effect 3 and Mass Effect: Andromeda, telling a story that spans two separate galaxies. At the very least, the game looks to be a proper sequel to Mass Effect 3, as you can see dead Reapers and an older Liara T'Soni in the trailer. Liara is 109 in Mass Effect 3 and her race, the asari, can live close to a 1000 years, so Mass Effect 5 could take place up to 900 years after the events of the original trilogy.


BioWare's new Mass Effect is not yet available for preorder. But we'll have to wait and see.
