Japan's Tokyo Square Enix's producer and director Naoki Yoshida surprised everyone at the Fan Fest opening address by revealing Pictomancer, the newest job in the upcoming Final Fantasy 14 Dawntrail expansion.
The Pictomancer, described by Square Enix as a magical ranged DPS vocation, uses a specialised brush to turn their colourful imaginations into reality by using the force of mixed aether.
Apart from the Pictomancer's debut, a new playable race was also revealed to appear in the Female Hrothgar expansion. These Turali people, who are from Ilsabard, are related to The Xbr'aal and live in Yak T'el. According to the official race description, Female Hrothgar stand out from other races by their lithe, muscular forms and natural tendency towards leadership, even if they make up a small portion of the population.
