Forza Horizon 6 PS5 Release Date Reportedly Delayed to 2027
Forza Horizon 6 may not be coming to PS5 this year after all. A new report claims that the PlayStation 5 version of Playground Games’ open-world racing game has been delayed to 2027.
According to Dealabs leaker billbil-kun, Forza Horizon 6 is expected to launch on PS5 on January 26, 2027. The date has not been confirmed by Microsoft or Playground Games, so fans should treat it as a report for now.
The claim is notable because Playground Games recently said that Forza Horizon 6 would still arrive on PS5 in 2026. The developer previously told PlayStation players to wishlist the game and said it would be released “later this year.”
That statement came after The Verge's Tom Warren suggested that he did not expect the racing game to reach PS5 in 2026. The latest Dealabs report appears to support Warren's earlier claim, although an official announcement is still missing.
The report also claims that Forza Horizon 6 will receive a physical PS5 release. It is currently unclear whether every edition, including the Premium Edition, will be available physically on PlayStation.
The possible delay comes as Playground Games faces criticism from some players over its communication surrounding post-launch content. The studio recently acknowledged the feedback and said it was looking at both future game updates and how it communicates with the community.
For now, Forza Horizon 6 remains officially listed for a 2026 PS5 release. If the latest report is accurate, however, PlayStation players could be waiting until January 2027 to experience the latest entry in Microsoft's popular racing series.
