GTA 6 $100 Ultimate Edition Leads $80 Version in Pre-Orders

Grand Theft Auto 6 is already in high demand ahead of its November release and Take-Two Interactive has revealed a few interesting details about how fans are spending their money.

According to Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick, GTA 6 pre-orders are currently choosing the $100 Ultimate Edition over the $80 Standard Edition. During a recent CNBC interview, Zelnick revealed the update, highlighting that the game's most devoted fans are likely to be its strongest initial users.

Take-Two previously described GTA 6's pre-order performance as unprecedented, but the company is wary of predicting how those early orders will translate into long-term sales. Pre-orders began on June 25, with the game set to launch on November 19, 2026.

The popularity of the $100 edition does not necessarily imply that most GTA 6 players will select the premium version. Hardcore fans are more likely to pre-order early, and they may be more interested in the bonus content that comes with a higher-priced edition.

Zelnick also mentioned GTA 5 as an example of the franchise's remarkable longevity. GTA 5 has sold over 230 million copies and continues to generate sales across three console generations.

For the time being, figures show how popular GTA 6 has become. It's unclear whether the $100 Ultimate Edition will remain popular after launch but Take-Two's most recent comments indicate that many of the franchise's biggest fans are already willing to pay a premium for Rockstar's next blockbuster.
