Hellblade 2 Gets Physical Editions and PS5 Port Release with Enhanced Features

Senua's Saga Hellblade 2, which was exclusively available digitally for a year, is now available in stores and on PlayStation 5. Ninja Theory's acclaimed action-adventure game is receiving a physical edition, according to publisher Limited Run Games.

The ESRB has announced new physical versions for both the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series platforms, with Limited Run Games, known for their collector-focused physical releases, leading the publishing push.

In an unusual twist, a separate ESRB listing teases a physical re-release of the first Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice for the Nintendo Switch, which will be a wonderful surprise for fans who missed out on the indie masterpiece on cartridge.

Limited Run Games, currently a subsidiary of the Embracer Group under the Freemode label, has established a reputation for bringing digital-only titles to the physical world, typically with luxury packaging and bonuses. Their cooperation hints that a collectible-oriented edition may be in the works.

Meanwhile, Hellblade 2 for the PlayStation 5 port is set to be released this summer and will include some special features. According to Ninja Theory, the game will be "optimized for PlayStation 5," including PS5 Pro compatibility, improved visuals, and immersive DualSense haptic feedback. These new capabilities will also be available as a free update for Xbox and PC, assuring cross-platform compatibility.

Hellblade 2 described as "the next chapter in Senua's emotional and cinematic journey," continues to push narrative boundaries, and its PlayStation release will bring the experience to a whole new audience.
