Hideo Kojima Teases the Future of OD and Physint with Xbox

Hideo Kojima has finally provided an update on OD, as well as revealing another major development in his growing partnership with Xbox.
On September 17, Kojima spoke at the Xbox Tokyo Game Show 2026 presentation about the progress of OD-KNOCK and PHYSINT. The appearance was brief, but it provided several important details to fans who had been waiting for updates on both mysterious projects.
PHYSINT also experienced an important publication change. Xbox is now the project's publishing partner, expanding on its previous collaboration with Kojima Productions on OD. The studio claims that the new partnership strengthens its relationship with Xbox and their shared commitment to future projects.
Kojima also expressed excitement for working with Xbox executives, focusing on discussions about the future of gaming and digital content.
Neither OD nor PHYSINT have an official release date yet. For the time being, Kojima Productions is keeping both games under wraps—but today's update confirms that work is still being done behind the scenes.
For Kojima fans, the next chapter is getting more interesting. With OD branching out into experimental horror and PHYSINT returning to action-espionage, the studio is working on two distinct projects at the same time.
