Sony and developers Guerrilla Games and Nixxes Software have revealed the PC requirements for Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition. The game, which was previously only available on PlayStation, will be released on PC on March 21.
Julian Huijbregts, Nixxes' online community specialist, stated in an accompanying PlayStation Blog post.
"To ensure the game runs on a wide variety of PC hardware, including portable gaming devices, we’ve included graphics presets ranging from very low to very high, This allows gamers with the latest hardware to push their systems, while also providing a great experience on less powerful PCs."
Further added,
" If you prefer to tweak settings and visuals to your own liking, you’ll find plenty of options in the launcher and in the game menus. Next to individual quality settings for textures, level of detail, shadows, water, terrain and more, you can use sliders to adjust the field of view and visual effects like motion blur and film grain. You’ll also find toggles to adjust full screen effects like radial blur, lens flares, bloom and vignette to taste"

For fans on PlayStation 5, 4K gaming is already a reality, but PCs vary. Sony and Guerrilla offer 4 pre-set options from Very Low to Very High. Minimum requirements include an i3, 16GB RAM, and NVIDIA GTX 1650 for 720p at 30 fps. Horizon Forbidden West supports DirectStorage but requires a hefty 150 GB of storage. The game demands 16 GB of RAM, and players with weaker hardware can choose from AI-powered upscalers like DLSS 3.0, FSR 3.0, and XeSS.
Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition will be available on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store on March 21.
