Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Gets Free Brand-New Day Suit, PS5 Pro Graphics Upgrade, and New Power Saver Mode

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 has received a new update for PlayStation 5 and PC, including free new content and significant technical improvements. The latest patch includes two stylish Spider-Man suits, improved PlayStation 5 Pro graphics, and a new Power Saver mode, giving players yet another reason to return to Insomniac Games' critically acclaimed superhero adventure.
The update arrives just as Spider-Man: Brand New Day hits theaters, providing an ideal opportunity for fans to revisit Peter Parker's latest adventure.
One of the most notable features is the Brand-New Day Suit, which was inspired by the latest Spider-Man film. The costume allows players to wear Peter Parker's most recent film look while exploring Marvel's version of New York City. Along with it, Insomniac has added the Marvel Tokon Suit, a cel-shaded costume inspired by Sony's upcoming fighting game, Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, which will be released on August 6. Both suits are completely free and available to all players who install the update.
PlayStation 5 Pro owners will also see significant visual improvements. The update includes Enhanced PSSR (PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution) support, which enables the game to take advantage of Sony's most recent upscaling technology. Early player impressions indicate noticeably sharper visuals, less blur, and smoother gameplay, making web-swinging through New York look better than ever.
Another welcome feature is the new Power Saver mode. This optional feature reduces energy consumption by lowering performance or resolution, giving players a more efficient way to play the game without sacrificing overall experience. The update is now available as version 1.005.000 on PlayStation 5 and version 2.727.0.0 on PC (via Steam).
