LAS VEGAS: Nvidia announced the much awaited GeForce RTX 40 Super Series of Graphics Processing Units (GPUs) in a ground-breaking event on Monday at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. Later this month, Nvidia's mid-generation PC graphics card refresh is expected to launch with a starting price of $599.

Three strong models are available in the GeForce RTX 40 Super Series: the GeForce RTX 4080 Super, GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super, and GeForce RTX 4070 Super. These GPUs, which are based on the cutting-edge Ada Lovelace architecture, give remarkable performance figures with up to 52 shader TFLOPS, 121 RT TFLOPS, and 836 AI TOPS.

The RTX 4070 Super, which is priced at $599 and is slated for sale on January 17 has 20% more cores than its predecessor, the RTX 4070, making it quicker than an RTX 3090 while using a lot less power. Nvidia emphasises that the RTX 4070 Super's advantage increases to 1.5 times quicker with DLSS 3.

Shortly after on January 24, the RTX 4070 Ti Super will be on sale for $799. With 16GB of boosted frame buffer, a 256-bit memory bus, and more cores than the RTX 4070 Ti, this GPU offers a significant improvement in memory bandwidth to 672 GB/sec. It promises to outperform an RTX 3070 Ti by 1.6 times or, when using DLSS 3 by 2.5 times.

On January 31 the GeForce RTX 4080 Super the flagship model will go on sale for $999. The GeForce RTX 4080 Super is a powerful performance boost, claiming to be 1.4 times faster without DLSS Frame Generation and twice as fast when it is enabled. It takes the place of the RTX 4080, which retailed for $200 more when it was released in late 2022.

Nvidia's Vice President of Global GeForce Marketing Matt Wuebbling expressed excitement about the coming releases by saying,

"For everyone from gaming enthusiasts to creative professionals, GeForce RTX Super GPUs are simply awesome upgrades."

Additionally, Nvidia highlighted that the GeForce RTX Super cards support more than 500 RTX games and apps, guaranteeing that customers will be ready for the next generation of PC generative AI software.
