Intriguing side tasks exist in Lords of the Fallen, each of which has its own distinct rewards and gameplay mechanics. One of these quests involves releasing the mysterious Tortured Prisoner, who eventually serves as the game's pyromancy merchant and enables you to use the flaming power against powerful opponents and monsters. This detailed guide will assist you through the process of free and find the tortured prisoner while giving you helpful hints and important information along the way.


Step-by-Step guide to Find and Free The Tortured Prisoner


Step 1: Finding the Skyrest Bridge Key



Make sure you have the Skyrest Bridge key, a necessary item to advance, before beginning this quest. How to begin going is as follows:


  • Find the Skyrest Bridge key, then proceed to Skyrest Bridge.

  • After obtaining it, warp to the Vestige of Ethryg and head to the area where Exacter Dunmire is. To open the gate and proceed on your adventure, use your lamp.


Step 2: Unlock the Locked Door

You will arrive at a location that like this as you continue forward:


  • Continue forward and turn right to get to a locked door. To open it, use the Skyrest Bridge key.


Step 3: Navigating the Umbral Realm


You'll need to use your lamp to enter the umbral world after you've reached this new place. The following step is as follows:


  • Approach the bridge with braziers on both sides.

  • You'll come across an Umbral being blocking your progress in the umbral world. You must kill three umbral bellies in order to move on.


Step 4: Soulflaying the Umbral Bellies

  • To the left is immediately visible the first umbral belly. In that direction, turn.

  • A sarcophagus is placed in the second Umbral belly, which is in the room's middle. To find it, look up.

  • On the bridge's right side is the third umbral belly. Observe the opening at the bridge's side to find a platform you can adjust with your torch to get there.

  • The final Umbral belly is beneath the bridge; move the platform closer and fall.


Step 5: Removing the Umbral Entity

Once all three Umbral bellies have been soulflayed, go back to the bridge and climb the left ladder. You'll run into another Umbral belly instead of the Umbral entity. To get the Searing Accusation, soulflay it.


Step 6: Reaching the Tortured Prisoner

A room with a stigma can be reached by climbing the ladder  moving forward, and using the stairs on the left-hand side. The main room of Skyrest Bridge can be reached through these stairs. You can see the tortured prisoner behind bars if you turn to your left.


Step 7: Free the Tortured Prisoner

Give the Tortured Prisoner the Searing Accusation item and start a conversation with her. After the fight take a break and head back to the arena where Pieta was previously battled. Just beyond the arena the former prisoner who had been tortured will be waiting.

Speak to her to explore her merchant products and to discover more about her history. Additionally, she will give you the Calrath Noble's Bow Pose.


Step 8: Collecting the Tortured Prisoner's Head Cage

You'll see that the prisoner's cell is now open if you chose to go back there. You can take out the Tortured Prisoner's Head Cage from within and add it to your inventory as a special item.


The Tortured Prisoner will be released after you complete these tasks, and you'll also be able to use Lords of the Fallen's pyromancy feature, giving you strong weapons with which to take on the difficulties that lie ahead.
