All Puzzle Box Solutions In Resident Evil Requiem

One of Grace's main goals while exploring the Rhodes Hill Care Center in Resident Evil Requiem is to unlock the Courtyard door in Central Hall. To do so, you must collect three unique Quartz gems: Moon Quartz, Sun Quartz, and Star Quartz.

Each gem is locked inside a puzzle box hidden throughout the facility. To solve these puzzles, you must explore multiple wings of the hospital, collect key items, and survive encounters with infected enemies.

How to Solve Each Puzzle Box in Resident Evil Requiem

Chairman’s Office Moon Quartz Puzzle Box

The first puzzle box can be found in the Chairman's Office of the West Wing. This is usually the first Quartz that players find while exploring the Care Center.

When you walk into the office, you will notice a puzzle box sitting on a lounge table. However, the solution is not immediately obvious.

How to Find the Clue

Capcom

Look around the room and pick up the pencil from the Chairman’s desk. Once you have it, interact with the notebook on the lounge table and shade the page with the pencil. This reveals the hidden symbol pattern needed for the puzzle.

Enter the symbols in this order:

Moon-Sun-Star-Moon

You’ll receive the Moon Quartz, which can be placed into the Central Hall door. It’s a good idea to insert it immediately to free up inventory space.

While you're here, also grab the Unicorn Trinket Box with the Red Jewel, which helps unlock the Parlor later in the game.

Lead Researcher’s Office Sun Quartz Puzzle Box

You can find the second puzzle box in the Lead Researcher’s Office on the second floor of the East Wing. But there’s a catch it’s secured with a padlock, so you’ll need Corrosive to get it open.

How to Unlock the Box

1. Go to the Conference Room down the hallway.

2. Watch out for several infected enemies, including a Singer zombie.

3. Find the Corrosive on one of the tables.

4. Return to the Lead Researcher’s Office and use the Corrosive to melt the lock.

Inside the office, you’ll notice two photos on the wall. These pictures reveal the puzzle’s symbol pattern.

The notebook contains information about opening the Organ Transport Box later in the game.

Security Manager’s Office Star Quartz Puzzle Box

The final puzzle box is located in the Security Manager’s Office in the Isolation Ward. Before you can reach this area, you must obtain the Level 2 ID Wristband.

How to Get the Level 2 Wristband

Go to the Examination Room in the East Wing and revive the corpse by placing its heart and lungs back into the body. After defeating the revived enemy it will drop the Level 2 ID Wristband, which lets you access the Isolation Ward.

Solving the Puzzle

The puzzle box in this room uses Braille symbols, which Grace cannot read.

Because of this, you need to bring Emily from the Medication Room to the Security Manager’s Office. While she works on the puzzle you’ll need to defend her from waves of infected enemies.

Once Emily finishes examining the box, the correct combination is:

You’ll receive the Star Quartz, the final gem required to unlock the exit.

What to Do After Collecting the Quartz

After getting all three gems:

• Moon Quartz

• Sun Quartz

• Star Quartz

Head back to the Central Hall and place them into the door with the three gem slots. This will open up the Courtyard door so Grace can leave the Care Center and keep the story moving.
