In an unexpected twist, major details about Ubisoft's new game, Assassin's Creed Shadows have leaked before of its public release. Earlier today, Ubisoft confirmed the title formerly known as Codename Red, and stated that the reveal video for Assassin's Creed Shadows will be released on May 15, 2024.
The hype began when multiple Ubisoft YouTube channels temporarily posted a trailer description, disclosing the game's release date of November 15, 2024, before immediately taking it out.
Adding to the excitement, prominent dataminer Frax, who had correctly disclosed the game's name just before the formal release, shared additional information. According to Frax, Ubisoft has big plans for post-launch DLC.
The Assassin's Creed Shadows Season Pass is set to cost $40/£40, with two expansions sold individually for $25/£25 each. The Season Pass will also offer gamers with Helix, the in-game money.
Season Pass subscribers will also have access to a new questline called 'Origami Killer'. Furthermore, the game's Ultimate Edition is expected to have five extra skill points, as well as a pre-order bonus task titled 'Thrown to the Dogs'.
Ubisoft's official Twitter announcement and following press release announced that Assassin's Creed: Shadows will be released on PC, PS5, PS4, and Xbox Series X/S. An insightful user noticed this listing data on the Ubisoft Store, sparking a lot of speculation.
For those who want to see more, the reveal trailer will be available on May 15, 2024, at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET / 5 PM BST. According to PlayStation Game Size, the video is expected to be 3 minutes and 49 seconds long and will provide the first in-depth look at this highly anticipated title.
