A new listing from a regional ratings board has sparked excitement among action game fans, suggesting that Devil May Cry 5 could soon be available on Nintendo's next-generation console.

According to Taiwan's Entertainment Software Rating Information website, a game called Devil May Cry 5: Devil Hunter Edition has been classified for the Nintendo Switch 2. While Capcom has yet to officially confirm the release, such ratings frequently appear before formal announcements, claiming that updates may be on the way.

Details about the so-called "Devil Hunter Edition" are unknown. The listing does not specify whether this version will include new content or simply combine previously released features.

For context, Devil May Cry 5 previously received a Special Edition, which included fan-favorite character Vergil and new modes such as Turbo Mode and Legendary Dark Knight difficulty. It's possible that this new edition will take a similar approach or even offer something entirely new to Switch 2 players.

Devil May Cry 5 was released in 2019 and continues to perform well. Last year the game sold more than 10 million units and remained one of Capcom's best-selling titles through 2025, thanks to regular discounts and sustained player interest.

Its enduring popularity additionally impacted Capcom's overall strategy. The company has indicated that it wants to elevate the Devil May Cry franchise, along with Mega Man and Ace Attorney, to the level of its flagship brands such as Resident Evil, Monster Hunter, and Street Fighter.

Even though Capcom hasn't confirmed anything, the presence of Devil May Cry 5: Devil Hunter Edition on a ratings board suggests that a release could be soon. If this is true, players may soon be able to experience Dante and Nero's fast paced demon hunting action on Nintendo new console, possibly with some added features.
