The beginning of the end.
Another new Trailer shows the story of God of War Ragnarok during PlayStation State of Play Live-stream. The trailer gives a little more insight into the story facing Kratos and his son Atreus.
God of War Ragnarok is the end of the world in the Norse mythology franchise. Fans have been waiting for the final chapter of Kratos and Atreus’ journey across the Nine Realms of Asgard. The trailer features Kratos on the move for vengeance again. And Atreus, just like his father, seems to have secrets of his own that will require him to build an even deeper bond of trust with his famously gruff and God-killing dad. There’s also Freya, Thor, some Valkyries, and a really cool shot of Atreus firing an arrow at an eclipse, which apparently is how the end times are going to begin. God of War's story was a startling enjoyment from an establishment that was definitely more known for its blood than it was its tenderness, and Ragnarok seems to be a commendable replacement to that set of experiences.
One of the numerous things players are anticipating in God of War Ragnarok is seeing Kratos go head to head against Thor, as this legendary showdown was alluded to during the mystery finishing of God of War (2018). There, Kratos and Atreus got back to their home in Midgard after a long and hazardous trip to the most noteworthy top in Jötunheim - just for the previous to dream that he is being visited by the Lord of Thunder himself. While Thor never genuinely shows up in God of War (2018), characters depict him as a fierce domineering jerk that is a long ways from the more gallant figure standard crowds are recognizable.
The trailer also shows the Ghost of Sparta slaying more enemies with Atreus’s help, and Atreus firing a single arrow into the sky with the giant wolf Fenrir by his side, causing it to change as if by his command. The pulse-pounding trailer finally ends with a brief scene of Kratos and Thor in combat as they clash their Leviathan Axe and Mjölnir hammer against each other.
