How to Get Stone in The Forge

How to Get Stone in The Forge

Stone is one of the first and most important commodities you'll need in The Forge, particularly for early missions like The Basics of Mining from Umut the Brave. Even though Stone is meant to be plentiful, many gamers still struggle to get enough of it - and there's a surprising reason for this.

This guide shows where to find Stone, what to mine, and why it often refuses to drop. You'll also learn fast ways to make sure you are able to collect Stone again.

Where to Find Stone in The Forge

How to Get Stone in The Forge

The majority of stone comes from mining Pebbles, which are the tiniest rock nodes inside The Cave in Stonewake's Cross. Pebbles drop Stone the most regularly, making them the best choice for beginners.

How to Get Stone (Step-by-Step)

  1. Head to Stonewake's Cross (the beginning point).

  2. Walk southeast until you reach The Cave's entrance, which is indicated by a wooden sign.

  3. Equip your pickaxe.

  4. Look for pebbles at the entry, particularly around Umut.

  5. Hold left-click and mine until Stone comes in your loot notification.

Pebbles are safe to mine because they are at the entrance and away from dangerous enemies deeper within the mines.

While searching for Stone, you may receive:

  • Sandstone

  • Copper

  • Iron

  • Tin

Do not toss these away; Umut's early missions also require 4 Tin and 5 Copper.

Why Are You Not Getting Stone in the Forge?

If Stone suddenly stops dropping, your Luck stat is the most likely reason.

Yes, it sounds funny, but more Luck actually reduces the likelihood of receiving low-tier minerals such as Stone.

Players that level up, reroll races, use better tools, or equip Luck-boosting items frequently encounter this issue.

How to Fix Stone Not Dropping in the Forge

To boost your Stone drops, briefly decrease your Luck. Here are the top five fixes.

1. Check Your Race (Class)

Some races provide innate Luck improvements which may unintentionally block regular drops.

Race

Luck Impact

Notes

Human

+3%

Won’t stop Stone from dropping; safe for beginners.

Elf

Big Luck boost

Can cause major issues in Stone farming.

Angel

Very high Luck

Best for rare ores, but bad for Stone.

 Fix

Elf players: can reroll the race if they have spare spins.

Angel players: Do not reroll. Instead, work your way to level 30 and gain access to another character slot.

2. Remove Achievement-Based Skills

If you've been playing for a while, you may have earned the Dedicated Player achievement, which grants you Luck Boost.

How To Check:

  • Press the bag symbol.

  • Select the Achievements tab.

  • Scroll to Dedicated Player.

  • If Luck Boost is equipped, remove it.

This alone can significantly boost Stone drops.

3. Check Runes and Your Pickaxe

Some Runes increase Luck by 5% to 16%, and higher-tier Pickaxes have Luck improvements built in as well.

Fix

  • Change out the Rune on your Pickaxe.

  • OR, purchase the Bronze Pickaxe, which has no Luck boost and is ideal for stone farming.

4. Avoid Luck-Boosting Equipment & Potions

Usually you want more Luck for rare ores — but not for Stone.

Avoid using:

  • Luck potions

  • Luck totems

  • Gear with Luck stats

The lower your Luck, the easier Stone drops become.

5. Check for active events

Certain global events boost luck for all players.

For example, consider the Constellation of Extra Luck.

If the event is active:

  • Reduce Luck as much as possible (using all of the remedies listed above).

  • If Stone still does not drop, you may have to wait until the event is over — this is unavoidable.

Final Tips

  • Farm Stone first before transitioning to high-luck races.

  • Stick to Pebbles—they have the highest stone drop rate.

  • Keep additional Stone on hand for later use in crafting and missions.

With the proper setup and low Luck, Stone becomes exceedingly easy to obtain in The Forge.
