NBA 2K26 Is Free on Nintendo Switch for a Limited Time

Basketball fans with a Nintendo Switch Online membership can now play NBA 2K26 for free as part of Nintendo's latest Game Trial offer. For a limited time, players can play the full basketball game on both the Nintendo Switch and the Nintendo Switch 2.

Unlike a standard demo, this Game Trial does not limit players to specific modes or parts of the game. Players can experience NBA 2K26 as if they had purchased including with online multiplayer features.

The free trial runs until August 13 at 11:59 p.m. PT, giving subscribers plenty of time to try out the latest entry in the popular NBA 2K series.

During the trial period, Nintendo Switch Online members can download and play NBA 2K26 without the usual restrictions. This makes the promotion an excellent opportunity for players who were curious about the series but were not ready to pay for the full game.

Players who enjoy the game will not have to worry about losing their progress. If they buy NBA 2K26 after the trial period ends, their existing save data will be carried over, allowing them to pick up where they left off.

Once the promotion has expired, the game will no longer be playable unless purchased via the Nintendo eShop.
