As the first images of Super Nintendo World at Universal's Epic Universe resort in Orlando have been shown excitement is growing. The trailer for the much awaited park's entry may be seen in a Universal YouTube video and on the official Nintendo of America X account.
Universal Epic Universe, which is slated to debut in the summer of 2025, will be the fourth attraction in the Universal Orlando portfolio, following Volcano Bay, Islands of Adventure, and Universal Studios. Super Nintendo World is one of the five unique themed areas that this new theme park will feature.
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter: Ministry of Magic, Celestial Park, How to Train Your Dragon: Island of Berk, and Dark Universe are a few of the rich settings found in Epic Universe. In a newly published film, Molly Murphy, President of Universal Creative, offered insights into the upcoming attractions.
"We'll have Super Nintendo World, where you can jump into the action and step into the world of Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, and Donkey Kong. You'll arrive in the most interactive, colorful world we've ever created," Murphy exclaimed.
Based on the concept photos and Murphy's positive comments, it appears like the much awaited Donkey Kong section will be there at Super Nintendo World Orlando from the moment it opens.
In March 2021, Super Nintendo World made its premiere at Universal Studios Japan. A second version of the attraction opened in February 2023 at Universal Studios Hollywood. Additionally, plans are in motion for a second installment at Universal Studios Singapore, which will further cement the attraction's popularity and growth worldwide as a dynamic and interactive game-inspired experience.
