PlayStation Plus May 2026 Free Games: FC 26, Wuchang & Nine Sols Revealed

Sony has officially announced the PlayStation Plus Essential free games for May 2026, offering subscribers a diverse selection of sports, action RPG, and indie adventure titles to add to their libraries. Starting May 5, members will be able to download and keep three new games as part of their subscription: EA Sports FC 26, Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, and Nine Sols.
As always, these titles will only be available for a limited time, so players should act quickly to secure them before the lineup changes in early June. Meanwhile, April's games are still available—but only until May 4.
Strong Month for PlayStation Plus Subscribers
The lineup is led by EA Sports FC 26, the most recent addition to EA's post-FIFA football franchise. The game builds on the legacy of realistic football simulation by featuring officially licensed teams, leagues, and players. Its arrival couldn't be better timed, given the growing excitement surrounding international football competitions this year. As an added bonus, subscribers will receive a special PlayStation Plus Icons Pack that can be redeemed throughout May.
For players looking for a more in-depth, challenging experience, Wuchang: Fallen Feathers offers a dark and atmospheric journey. Set in the final years of China's Ming Dynasty, the game combines fast-paced combat with a haunting story. Players take on the role of Bai Wuchang, a pirate fighting monstrous enemies and a mysterious illness known as Feathering, which turns people into terrifying creatures. The game's combination of historical fiction and soulslike mechanics has made it one of the most talked-about action RPGs of recent months.
Nine Sols, a visually stunning 2D action-platformer focused on precision combat, completes the trio. It is inspired by deflection-based mechanics similar to Sekiro-style gameplay and requires players to master timing and skill. The game is set in a unique world influenced by ancient mythology and science fiction, and it follows a lone hero on a quest for vengeance against powerful rulers called the Sols.

Before diving into May's offerings, subscribers still have a limited time to claim April's titles, which include Lords of the Fallen, Tomb Raider I-III Remastered, and Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream. These will be available until May 4.
