Sony has announced a new PlayStation 5 bundle, which will be available alongside the highly anticipated Marvel's Spider-Man 2 on October 20, 2023. This tempting package includes a PlayStation 5 with a disc drive, a DualSense controller, and a download code for Marvel's Spider-Man 2.

Fans are anticipating the debut of this special package, which combines the powerful PS5 platform with Spider-Man's web-slinging adventure. Gamers should make a note of this interesting release date.

Sony has yet to publish price and pre-order information for this attractive bundle, putting fans in the dark about how much it will cost to participate on this thrilling superhero journey.

Sony's entry into Spider-Man-themed bundles isn't its first. They released a special edition PS5 console bundle for Spider-Man 2 in September for $599.99 / £569.99. The normal PS5 system was included in this bundle, along with a special console cover design, a matching DualSense wireless controller, and a digital copy of Spider-Man 2's standard edition.

Sony also sells Spider-Man 2 PS5 console covers for $64.99 / £54.99 and a special edition DualSense controller for $79.99 / £69.99 separately for those who want to add a touch of Spidey to their existing PS5 setup.

Sony released a video for Marvel's Spider-Man 2 last month to tease fans in advance of the game's release. The trailer highlighted the game's open-world gameplay and extended New York City backdrop. The movie, which was narrated by Insomniac's senior creative director, Bryan Intihar, showed new in-game locales and inventive ways to traverse the huge city.

Notably, unlike previous games, Marvel's Spider-Man 2 will not confine players to Manhattan. This time, players will now be able to explore Queens and Brooklyn, practically doubling the size of the game's worldwide map and providing fans of the series with an even more immersive experience.

In a related development, Sony Interactive Entertainment CEO Jim Ryan announced his retirement in March 2024 after a 30-year career with the Japanese electronics behemoth. This represents a significant shift in corporate leadership and will surely spark the gaming community's interest in the coming months.

As the release date for Marvel's Spider-Man 2 and the PlayStation 5 combo nears, fans can't wait for the web-slinging adventures that await in this highly anticipated sequel.
