Starfield PS5 Reportedly Launches April 7, Pre-Orders Said to Open Mid-March

Starfield PS5 Reportedly Launches April 7, Pre-Orders Said to Open Mid-March
Bethesda Game Studios

After years of rumors, it looks like Starfield might finally be coming to PlayStation 5 soon. A new report from the reliable Dealabs insider, billbil-kun, says Bethesda’s sci-fi RPG is set to launch on PS5 on April 7, with pre-orders likely starting around March 17 or 18.

Even though Microsoft and Bethesda haven't officially confirmed this yet, billbil-kun has a solid history of correctly leaking release dates and store listings.

Starfield PS5 Two Editions, Possible $60/$80 Pricing

According to the leak, the PS5 version will come in two editions:

  • Standard Edition – €49.99

  • Premium Edition – €69.99

If those prices convert directly, players in the United States could expect to pay between $60 and $80. However, regional pricing has not been confirmed.

According to the report, a physical edition will be released on April 7 as well. It's unclear whether the digital version will be released concurrently, but it seems likely.

Earlier Leak Backed by Stronger Source

Last month, Polish outlet PPE.pl cited insider Graczdari, claiming Starfield would receive a physical PS5 release on April 7. While Graczdari has correctly leaked some projects in the past, their track record isn’t spotless.

Now that billbil-kun is reporting the same date, the April 7 launch window appears far more credible.

DLC Plans Could Align With PS5 Launch

Starfield was originally released in 2023 for PC and Xbox Series X|S, and it remains one of the most popular Xbox first-party titles that has not yet been confirmed for PlayStation.

Bethesda is currently working on new story DLC for the game. Director Todd Howard recently teased the expansion, claiming that players who enjoyed Starfield will "love" what comes next. There is no official release date for the DLC yet, but combining it with the PS5 launch would make strategic sense.

Rumors of a Nintendo Switch 2 version have also circulated, but recent reports indicate that the port may be delayed indefinitely.

For the time being, everyone is waiting for Bethesda to confirm it. If the leak is accurate, PS5 players will not have to wait long to explore the Settled Systems.
