Ubisoft's long-awaited return to one of its most popular pirate adventures appears to be just hours away from full reveal—but not before key details leaked online. According to recent leaks, Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced will be released at a nearly full price, with a premium collector's bundle that may surprise fans.
Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced Pricing Leak
According to trusted Dealabs insider billbil-kun, Ubisoft plans to sell the standard edition of Black Flag Resynced for $59.99 (€59.99 / £49.99). While this is consistent with modern AAA pricing, it has sparked debate among fans, given that the game is a reworked version of 2013's Assassin's Creed: Black Flag.
For collectors, Ubisoft is reportedly working on a much more expensive option. A Collector's Edition, which was briefly available on Amazon France before being removed, is expected to cost $199.99 (€199.99 / £174.99).
What’s Inside the Collector’s Edition?
The premium edition is said to include a large, detailed statue of the protagonist, Edward Kenway, perched on a treasure chest and holding the iconic black pirate flag. Interestingly, the same statue surfaced on resale platforms earlier this year, adding to the growing list of leaks surrounding the project.
Other reported content includes:
A collectible world map.
A themed notebook.
A steelbook case.
In-game bonuses include character outfits and ship customization options.
A pet companion for the Jackdaw, including the ship's cat.
A "worst kept secret" Finally Becomes Official
Ubisoft recently joked that Black Flag Resynced is "gaming's worst kept secret," and it's easy to understand why. Over the past year, leaks ranging from screenshots to merchandise have over time revealed details about the project.
The official reveal is scheduled for April 23 at Ubisoft's Worldwide Reveal Showcase, where fans can expect pricing confirmation, gameplay improvements, and possibly a firm release date.
Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced Release Dates and Twitch Hints
While Ubisoft has yet to officially confirm a launch date, the same leak suggests a July 9 release date. Meanwhile, early mentions of Twitch Drops related to the game indicate that marketing efforts are ramping up quickly, which is often a sign that launch is near.
Ubisoft is bringing back Black Flag at an important time, following the mixed response to recent games such as Assassin's Creed Shadows. Releasing a fan-favorite title again appears to be a sound strategy for regaining player interest and momentum. However, the remake's $60 price has raised concerns, with many questioning whether nostalgia and improved visuals are enough to justify the cost.
Fans will not have to wait long for clear details, as the official reveal is set to take place soon. It's still unclear whether Black Flag Resynced will be a simple remaster or a complete remake, which is certain to impact how well it's received by both new and returning players. For the time being, it's clear that Ubisoft's pirate classic has returned to popularity with high expectations.
