A recent notice that appeared on the game's login screen disclosed that Blizzard has officially confirmed the release date for Diablo 4 season 4. Destructoid found a message indicating that the new season will start on January 23, 2024.

The director of Diablo community development, Adam Fletcher, promised excited fans earlier this week that they wouldn't have to wait a long time to hear about developments on the third season of the game. Fletcher stated,

"I know there is a lot of anticipation toward Season 3 news for Diablo IV. We’ve been a bit quiet due to people rolling back in from holiday break, but we will have some news to share very soon including times for our Developer Update livestream (LIVE FROM Blizzard Albany!)."

Although Blizzard had previously made hints regarding the arrival of leaderboards in Season 3 there are still little specifics available regarding the upcoming significant upgrade. The first Diablo 4 expansion, "Vessel of Hatred," was previously revealed by the studio during the opening ceremony of BlizzCon in November.

The grim story that began in Diablo IV is carried on in the expansion, which is slated for release in late 2024 and additional details are anticipated next summer. In an explanation of the expansion, Blizzard said,

"Vessel of Hatred continues the grim tale that began in Diablo IV, as you learn the fate of the prime evil Mephisto and his demonic plans for Sanctuary."

As they explore Nahantu, a new area in the Diablo universe, players will run into fresh challenges, enemies, and a class that has never been seen before. The Diablo 4 community is excitedly awaiting the start of Season 3 and the release of the Vessel of Hatred expansion.
