Gamers looking for something new to play this weekend have a compelling reason to return to Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. Activision has launched a free trial period alongside the highly anticipated Season 3 update, which includes new content, gameplay changes, and a fresh focus on fair competition.
For a limited time, players can join the action for free. The free trial, which runs until April 6, unlocks a significant portion of the game's content. This includes over 30 multiplayer and zombie maps, as well as a variety of modes that highlight everything Season 3 has to offer.
To make things even more appealing, double XP is available during the trial period. Whether you're new to the game or returning after a break, progress will feel noticeably faster.
Activision's third season will be heavily focused on improving fair play. The RICOCHET anti-cheat system has been updated to better detect players who use devices such as Cronus and XIM. Instead of just checking the hardware, the system now examines in-game behavior like aiming patterns and recoil control. This should make it easier to identify players who take unfair advantage.
PC players will also see new security measures, such as SMS verification for certain accounts. This is intended to prevent banned players from quickly creating new profiles. Additional checks related to Secure Boot and TPM 2.0 are being enforced more clearly.

New modes and Features
Demolition is a new mode that is available at launch. More modes, such as Aim High and Snipers Only, will be introduced later in the season. Players can also try the new Ion Core scorestreak, which deals damage to enemies in the surrounding area.
Season 3 includes a mix of new content and significant improvements to gameplay fairness. With a free trial and double XP available, this is an excellent opportunity for new and returning players to see what's changed in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7.
