Capcom has officially revealed Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen, confirming that the highly anticipated expansion will be released on October 9, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam.


The most recent information was shared at the recent show, where expansion director Kento Kinoshita unveiled new gameplay features, story details, and upcoming quality-of-life improvements that will be released alongside the expansion.

Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark players to Norgan, a snowy northern land filled with ancient ruins, hidden objects, and deadly enemies. The expansion includes a brand-new story in which players explore this mysterious region and discover long-forgotten secrets.



The adventure follows the Arisen as they a mysterious woman on the hunt for the powerful Fallen Dragon. Along the way, players will face difficult battles, discover valuable relics, and earn new rewards. According to director Kento Kinoshita, Norgan provides a darker environment that promotes exploration and strategic combat.


Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen Brings Three Major New Features


Capcom confirmed that Dragon's Dark Arisen is based on three key additions:


  • A completely new story campaign set in the frozen region of Norgan.

  • Twelve brand-new challenge dungeons spread across the game's world.

  • Expanded character customization with additional hairstyles and tattoo options.


These additions are meant to provide plenty for both existing and new players after the main campaign is completed.

Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark a new gameplay system known as the Relic Expedition Cycle. In this feature, players explore the icy region of Norgan in search of ancient relics hidden throughout dangerous areas.


These artifacts can be used to upgrade weapons, combat abilities. According to Capcom, this system is intended to reward exploration while also preparing players for more difficult battles as they progress through the expansion.


New Combat Abilities Revealed


Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark exciting new combat moves, as seen in the most recent gameplay trailer, which add more action and flexibility to battles while also making them faster and more dynamic. Players can engage in acrobatic martial arts-style melee attacks, leap into the air to shoot arrows at enemies, and even use a new ability that leaves a trail of fire that can be detonated for heavy area damage, providing more tactical options during combat.

Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark two purchase options for players. The standalone expansion costs $29.99 for those who already own Dragon's Dogma 2 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.


The complete edition, which includes game and the Dark Arisen expansion, will cost $49.99. Players who pre-order will also receive the exclusive Norgan Fashion Set - Northern Attire, which will be available from in-game storage when the expansion is released.
