Final Fantasy 14 Version 6.5 Latest Patch Allows Solo Play Throughout Main Scenario

The most recent Final Fantasy 14 Version 6.5 allows solo play for the whole main scenario, which is a significant step forward in the game's evolution. Duty Support, introduced in Version 6.1, allowed players to tackle content on their own with the help of NPC party members. With Version 6.5, this functionality is now available in all main scenario dungeons, including those from previous expansions.

The main objectives from "A Realm Reborn" to "Endwalker" can be completed without the assistance of NPC companions. Version 6.5 also adds "Stormblood" in the Starter Edition and extends the free trial duration. Final Fantasy 14 is set to launch on Xbox Series X/S in Spring 2024, with an open beta period taking place during Version 6.5.

Version 6.5 includes more than just improvements to solo gameplay. The patch also enhances the game's free trial, allowing players to play the game and its expansions "Heavensward" and "Stormblood" up to level 70 for free. Furthermore, "Stormblood" has been included in the game's Starter Edition, ensuring that both existing and new players have free access to the first two expansions.
