Flames of War is the third main quest in Assassin's Creed Shadows and the final time you play as Yasuke before he returns later in the game. The mission requires intense fighting as you battle previous Iga's rebellion to reach Mibuno Castle's Inner Yard. Quest Objective
Reach The Castle Entrance
The quest begins directly following the cutscene from Spirit of the Warrior. Once you've gained control of Yasuke, go right down the dirt path toward the castle door. While enemies are there, they will not be opposing unless provoked, so you can engage or avoid them.
Defeat the Igan Warriors
As you approach the door, six Igan warriors will attack. Use Yasuke's combat skills to your advantage:
War Kick: Push enemies back by holding the heavy attack button and pressing Square (PS) or X (Xbox).
Power Dash: Use this to reduce your range and strike quickly.
To successfully bring them down, balance heavy and light blows. After clearing the area, sprint through the door ahead and break it down.
Kill the Resistance
Beyond the broke door, more Igan fighters waiting. Instead of rushing in, attract them outside so that your allies can assist in battle. Only four must be defeated before moving to the next target.
Reach the Top of the Castle
Throughout the battle, move forward as directed.
From the broken-down door, proceed east via the open gate.
If your health has declined, press:up: of controller to eat a ration and restore it.
Pass through the arch and up the steps.
Continue climbing until you reach the castle's summit.
Kill the Igan Leader
At the top, you'll fight the Igan Leader, a strong enemy with three health bars. Watch for his katana to light blue—this suggests a Flurry Attack!
These chained attacks can be parried, but they need exact timing.
The Igan Leader launches three Flurry Attacks in succession.
Successfully parrying all attacks will expose him to counterattacks.
When he's open, use heavy and light hits, as well as abilities to quickly reduce his health.
Reach Mibuno Castle’s Inner Yard
When the leader breaks down, cross the wooden bridge ahead and sprint into the door to bust it down. This initiates a cutscene, marking the end of Flames of War.
Tips for Success
Use Yasuke's powers wisely: the War Kick can knock enemies into danger or off heights.
Manage stamina: Heavy hits and avoiding drain stamina; keep an eye on it.
Parry and counter: The Igan Leader is tough, but well-timed parries might swing the fight in your favor.
