Epic Games has confirmed that Fortnite V-Bucks will cost more beginning March 19, 2026. The company stated that the change is required since the cost of running Fortnite has increased.
In a blog post, Epic explained the decision clearly: “The cost of running Fortnite has gone up a lot and we’re raising prices to help pay the bills.”
New Fortnite V-Bucks Pack Values
Beginning March 19, players will receive fewer V-Bucks for the same price tiers. The updated packs will look like this:
$8.99 – 800 V-Bucks (was 1,000)
$22.99 – 2,400 V-Bucks (was 2,800)
$36.99 – 4,500 V-Bucks (was 5,000)
$89.99 – 12,500 V-Bucks (was 13,500)
$0.99 – 50 V-Bucks (was $0.49)
Battle Pass and Crew Changes
The Battle Pass price has been reduced from 1,000 to 800 V-Bucks, but players will now only receive 800 V-Bucks for finishing it. The additional 500 V-Bucks from Bonus Rewards have been withdrawn.
Other passes are also changing:
OG Pass: 800 V-Bucks (was 1,000)
Music Pass: 1,200 V-Bucks (was 1,400)
LEGO Pass: 1,200 V-Bucks (was 1,400)
Meanwhile, Fortnite Crew subscribers will receive 800 V-Bucks every month instead of 1,000, although the subscription remains $12 per month.
Epic said that existing V-Bucks gift cards would keep their printed value, so gamers who already have them will be impacted by the price hike.
