According to reports, an announcement for a PC version of the critically acclaimed 2020 game Ghost of Tsushima could come as early as Tuesday, March 5.
Renowned industry insider Nick Baker of Xbox Era, who correctly predicted a big amount of Sony recent State of Play conference, took to the X platform to express his thoughts on the anticipated port. Baker revealed, "I'm hearing that the Ghost of Tsushima PC port will be announced soon. Perhaps around the 5th?" sparked interest and excitement among gamers.
Ghost of Tsushima, which was launched in 2020 for PlayStation 4, received amazing acclaim for its lovely visuals, incredible narrative, and interesting gameplay. It was then given a director's edit that was specifically designed for the PlayStation 5.
The option to bring Ghost of Tsushima to PC aligns with a trend in Sony strategy, which has seen the corporation slowly expand its catalog of first-party titles outside of its platforms. This approach has led in the release of various titles on PC beyond their initial platform exclusivity.
While Sony go into the PC industry has not always resulted in high sales, recent achievements have proved the possibility of greater appeal. Notably, the simultaneous release of Helldivers 2, a sequel to a niche PS4 and PSVita game, on PC and PS5, was a huge success. The game has more concurrent players than all other PlayStation Studios PC releases combined, showing that Sony titles on the PC platform are gaining popularity and market share. As excitement rises for a possible Ghost of Tsushima PC version, players await formal confirmation from Sony.
