Fans of Ghost of Yotei have a compelling incentive to return to the battlefield next week.
Sucker Punch has finally revealed the critically praised samurai epic will receive a significant free update on November 24, led by the long-awaited New Game Plus mode.
Ghost of Yotei New Game Plus & Harder Difficulty
After completing the main story for the first time, the game will unlock the brand new New Game Plus option, which offers a fresh replay while keeping previously gained skills and equipment. Those looking for an even bigger challenge can dive into a new higher difficulty setting will come alongside the mode. The upgrade doesn't stop there—completionists will have more to seek out with addition of two brand-new Trophies related to the update's features.
New Currency & Cosmetic Rewards
Sucker Punch is launching a new collectible currency called Ghost Flowers. These could be
earned solely in New Game Plus and traded with a newly added vendor offers 30 completely new cosmetic pieces. Rewards include:
New armor sets
Weapon dyes
Charms
Additional upgrade paths for current cosmetics
Cosmetic hunters are getting plenty to chase — and none of it requires real-money
purchases.
Accessibility Enhancements & Mission Replay
The update also provides additional accessibility settings, which expand the game's reach for more players. Players will now be able to revisit and repeat previously completed tasks.
