Jin Sakai Returns as a Playable Character in Ghost of Yōtei Most Wanted Mode

Sucker Punch has confirmed Jin Sakai's return in Ghost of Yōtei. The Ghost of Tsushima main character will be playable in the upcoming Most Wanted survival mode.

During the PlayStation State of Play on September 3, Sucker Punch revealed new footage of Ghost of Yōtei: Most Wanted, a single-player roguelike combat mode.

Although Jin Sakai is not part of Atsu's main story in Ghost of Yōtei, players can control him in Most Wanted. His return also includes some of the abilities that made him one of PlayStation's most recognizable characters.

Jin Sakai's Ghost abilities return in Ghost of Yōtei Most Wanted Mode. Players can once again fight with his katana and use all four combat stances from Ghost of Tsushima. His arsenal will also include the hankyu bow and Sticky Bomb, providing players with combat options from his previous adventure.

Jin will also have strong special abilities, such as Dance of Wrath and Ghost Stance. These abilities will bring back some of the most recognizable elements from the original game. Sucker Punch has upgraded Jin's visuals for Ghost of Yōtei while maintaining his original character model.

What Is Most Wanted?

Most Wanted is a combat survival mode in which players choose from four characters and complete increasingly difficult bounties. Defeating enemies grants players perks and upgrades, allowing them to create stronger characters in future runs.

Four Playable Characters Will Be Available

Jin Sakai will not be fighting alone. Most Wanted features four playable characters, each with a unique combat style.

• Atsu: Uses dual katanas, Metsubushi and Blind Bomb, alongside abilities such as Call of the Pack and Onryō’s Howl.

• Oyuki: Specializes in the Kusarigama, kunai and tanegashima, with abilities including Shadow Killer and Shadow Shinobi.

• Nagato: Uses a yari, tanzutsu, yumi and hankyu, supported by abilities such as Gambler’s Mark and Blast Arrow.

• Jin Sakai: Returns with his katana, hankyu, Sticky Bomb, Dance of Wrath and Ghost Stance.

Each character begins with a katana and brings a unique set of weapons and abilities to the battlefield.

Both Most Wanted and Echoes of Sekigahara are set to launch on October 1. Players who already own the base game can buy the Complete Edition upgrade, which includes the extra content. New players can select Ghost of Yōtei: Complete Edition, which includes both the main game and additional content.

For longtime Ghost of Tsushima fans, the return of Jin Sakai may be the most exciting development. In Ghost of Yōtei, Atsu remains the main character, and his appearance in Most Wanted does not change that. Instead, Sucker Punch is bringing Jin back for a new adventure with a faster and more replayable combat style.

With Jin's four combat stances, Ghost abilities, and familiar weapons returning, Most Wanted may provide fans with a nostalgic trip back to Tsushima. At the same time, it will place Jin in a new environment, allowing players to experience his abilities in a new way.
