A brand-new John Wick video game has officially been announced, and it’s being developed by Saber Interactive in partnership with Lionsgate. Even better, Keanu Reeves is involved and will lend his likeness and voice to the game.
The project was revealed during a PlayStation showcase and is currently known as the Untitled John Wick Game.
A New Story in the John Wick Universe
The game is going to dive into a brand-new story that takes place years before the "Impossible Task." The developers have said it’ll add more depth to the John Wick timeline, bringing back some familiar faces and introducing new characters created just for the game.
Director Chad Stahelski is also working closely with the team to make sure the game feels true to the movies. This means fans can expect the same tone, style, and attention to detail seen in the films.
Real “Gun-Fu” Action
Saber Interactive says the combat system is being built from scratch to match the iconic gun-fu style from the films. Players can expect fast close-range combat, smooth shooting mechanics, brutal takedowns, and cinematic camera angles.
The quick gameplay teaser gave us a glimpse of John Wick taking down foes up close with swift moves and spot-on shots. It was short, but the action already seems intense and well-crafted.
The developers aim to make the game feel like you're in a John Wick movie. That means slick neo-noir settings, immersive world-building, and high-stakes missions. Driving scenes and detailed locations will also be crucial in delivering that cinematic vibe.
The team says their goal is to blur the line between movies and video games, giving players full control of the legendary assassin.

This won’t be the first John Wick game that was John Wick Hex but this is the first major AAA action title directly connected to the film universe. Unlike the tactical style of John Wick Hex, this new project focuses on real-time action and cinematic gameplay.
Release Date Still Unknown
We don't have an official title or release date just yet. Saber Interactive is asking fans to hang tight for more info on the story, gameplay, and when it'll launch.
But here's what we do know: Baba Yaga is definitely heading to PS5, and it might just be one of the coolest action games in the works right now.
