Bandai Namco Europe and Supermassive Games have made an unexpected announcement,  confirming that Little Nightmares 3 would be released in 2025. The highly anticipated game was previously scheduled for release this year.

Little Nightmares 3, which was revealed at Gamescom in August, is a considerable move for the series. Unlike its predecessors, which were created by Tarsier Studios, this sequel is being produced by Supermassive Games, who are known for their efforts on Until Dawn and The Dark Pictures Anthology.

In a joint statement released on Friday, the developer and publisher expressed their commitment to delivering a high-quality experience for fans.

"The teams at Supermassive Games and Bandai Namco Europe have been working hard towards delivering the best experience possible for the next entry in the franchise,"

They continued,

"As much as we can’t wait for you to return to the Nowhere, we also want to make sure we give the game the care and love it deserves. Quality is a top priority for us, and we know you feel the same way. For this reason, we’ve made the decision to shift the release of the game to 2025."

The delay shows the creators' commitment to developing the game. "We'll be sharing more about Little Nightmares 3 this summer, so please bear with us and look forward to further updates," they stated.

While the actual release date is unknown, some fans predict an early 2025 debut, probably around Halloween. For the time being, fans of Little Nightmares will have to wait a little longer to return to the unsettling world of the game.
