The first complete trailer for MachineGames' new Indiana Jones game has been released, providing fans with an exciting look at what to expect. The news that Harrison Ford will be playing the classic role of the daring hero again, if only in likeness, will excite fans. "Indiana Jones and the Great Circle," the much awaited video game for Xbox and PC, will have Troy Baker speak the character in addition to Ford's visual representation.
Set between the events of the first film, "Raiders of the Lost Ark," and the third installment, "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade," this exciting new adventure exposes players to an involving story. According to senior narrative designer Edward Curtis-Sivess, Indiana Jones is employed at Marshall College when the game begins. An intriguing investigation begins with a break-in at the campus museum. As Indy seeks the trail to the Vatican, she discovers unexpected turns in the road.
According to cinematic producer Mitra Askhkan Far, "he starts pulling at the strings of a mystery, and it all unravels until he has no choice but to see it through to the end, whatever the end may be."
MachineGames promises a wide variety of settings, including the cool heights of the Himalayas, the lush and submerged temples of Sukhothai, the dry deserts of Egypt, and the hallowed halls of the Vatican. To provide players an immersive experience, the game will mostly take place in first person. But the camera will smoothly transition to a third-person perspective during cutscenes and certain tasks, like climbing, giving you a peek of Indy in action.
Known for his work on legendary first-person shooter games like Chronicles of Riddick and The Darkness, design director Jens Andersson highlights the objective of the game, which is to put players in the shoes of the legendary hero. "You can explore and experience things more deeply when you are in first person, feeling like you are a part of this world. When you're thrust into this adventure, what will you do with just your whip and your cunning?"
"Indiana Jones and the Great Circle" offers an exciting experience full of clock-racing and beating opponents in the hunt of rare artefacts. The Indiana Jones universe is known for its mysteries. With a release date later this year, the game will be playable on PC, Game Pass, and Xbox Series X/S, giving fans the opportunity to experience this grand journey on a variety of platforms.
