Marvel’s Blade Game is in Development at Arkane Lyon Deathloop Creator

Arkane Lyon, the renowned game development firm has just released Blade a game based on the beloved Marvel comic book character. The major revelation happened at The Game Awards, with Marvel's Bill Roseman and Arkane's game director, Dinga Bakaba hitting the stage.

Bakaba highlighted a personal connection to Blade in a recent Xbox Wire post, highlighting his diversity and the special connection he has with a hero of dual heritage.

"The opportunity to put our spin on this character is a dream of mine and a challenge that our team embraces with passion,"

Bakaba said.

"We couldn't be happier to put players in Blade's boots, as he becomes the champion of my hometown of Paris, one stake at a time."

Sebastien Mitton, co-creator and art director also joined in highlighting Blade's unique look, from his trench coat to his glasses. "Blade is a slick, stylish, and driven character," said Mitton.

"This project is the perfect opportunity to push Arkane’s art style into an even more modern and bold territory. The essence of our work lives at the junction of impactful ideas and innovative know-how."

Arkane Lyon is most known for his work on the critically praised 2021 shooter Deathloop. Prior to Deathloop, the firm worked with Machine Games on the Wolfenstein series and created Dishonoured 2 and Dishonoured: Death of the Outsider.


Blade will join Insomniac's Marvel's Spider-Man franchise EA's upcoming Black Panther game SkyDance New Media's Captain America game, and Insomniac's Wolverine game in the Marvel Games list. Marvel Games continues to expand its impact across many gaming genres with its diversified lineup, guaranteeing an exciting future for Marvel fans.
