Fans of the Batman: Arkham Trilogy for the Nintendo Switch will have to wait a little longer, since the release date has been pushed back. Warner Bros. Games, the publisher of the highly anticipated collection, just stated that the planned October 13, 2023 release date has been pushed back to December 1, 2023.

Warner Bros. Games apologised to fans and stressed that the delay was required to guarantee the collection lived up to expectations in a statement issued on their official Twitter account.

The official Batman Arkham Twitter account confirmed the delay, announcing the new release date of December 1, 2023 and noting, "More time is needed to bring players the best possible experience on Nintendo Switch." We apologise to the fans who are looking forward to playing this version of the trilogy. Thank you for your understanding."

All previously published DLC will be included in the Batman: Arkham Trilogy on Nintendo Switch, marking the franchise's debut on Nintendo's popular gaming device. Turn Me Up Games, well known for its work on successful Switch versions of titles such as "It Takes Two," "Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2," and "Borderlands Legendary Collection," is the development team behind bringing this beloved trilogy to the Switch audience.

The Arkham Trilogy, created by Rocksteady Studios, received significant acclaim upon its initial release. However, Rocksteady's subsequent project, "Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League," ran into difficulties, including public outrage following a demo presentation. As a result, the game's release date has been pushed back by over a year.

Rocksteady acknowledged the delay in an April statement, noting that the decision was required to guarantee the game met the highest quality standards. "We have made the tough but necessary decision to take the time needed to work on getting the game to be the best quality experience for players," the statement continued. "Thank you to our incredible community for your ongoing support, patience, and understanding." There will be much more to tell in the coming months, and we hope to see you in Metropolis next year."

Fans of the Dark Knight will have to wait a little longer to dive into the classic Batman: Arkham Trilogy on the Nintendo Switch. With such high expectations for this collection, the delay implies that Warner Bros. Games and Turn Me Up Games are committed to providing a first-rate gaming experience.
