Over 1200 Free Costume Makeovers are Available in Lego Fortnite

Epic Games has revealed a wonderful surprise for gamers in advance of the impending release of Lego Fortnite: more than 1200 in-game costumes will receive free Lego makeovers. These Lego-adorned costumes will be available in the much-anticipated Lego Fortnite mode, which is due to launch on December 7.

Although not every Fortnite skin will be transformed into a Lego variant, possibly due to potential licencing complications associated with the game's large selection of legally licenced characters, Epic has ensured that each original skin created by the game creator will receive a Lego variant.

Epic Games has guaranteed fans that the Lego Fortnite skins will continue to expand on a regular basis, implying other licenced characters may be given the Lego treatment in the future.

Certain licenced titles, such as Marvel, already have Lego figures and have appeared in Lego video games. These Lego video games were created by TT Games, the official console rights holder for the Lego licence for nearly a decade. However, with TT Games no longer holding exclusive rights to Lego console games, as demonstrated by the release of 2023's Lego 2K Drive, potential licencing issues for video game adaptations based on certain Lego properties may occur.

Notably, Lego has historically been hesitant to collaborate with adult-oriented properties. As a result, it looks unlikely that iconic figures such as the Xenomorph from the Alien franchise or Robocop would get Lego counterparts.
