Aspyr and Lucasfilm Games have announced a collaboration to deliver Star Wars fans a tangible gift for their Nintendo Switch systems. The highly anticipated physical edition of the Star Wars Heritage Pack, which includes seven famous titles, will be available on December 8th for the attractive price of $60. Pre-orders are now available at a number of shops, allowing fans to grab their copies well in advance of the release date.

While the Heritage Pack made waves in the world of digital media earlier this year via the Nintendo eShop, the physical edition hopes to appeal to gamers who enjoy the tactile sense of holding a collection in their hands.

The collection includes seven classic Star Wars Bundle titles that have stood the test of time:

  • Star Wars: The Force Unleashed

  • Star Wars: Republic Commando

  • Star Wars: Episode I Racer

  • Star Wars: Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy

  • Star Wars: Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast

  • Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (Digital download required)

  • Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II (Digital download required)

Recent news about Aspyr's second Star Wars project, the Knights of the Old Republic remake, has created a lot of interest and conjecture. Notably, fans noticed the deletion of a post from the principal PlayStation Twitter account, which had first revealed the game in 2021, as well as the absence of the game's reveal video.

This sparked questions about the project's condition, particularly in light of reports indicating difficulties in its development. Some feared that the game could be affected by restructuring attempts at Aspyr's parent company, Embracer Group.

Sony has recently clarified the situation, citing the expiration of music licences as the reason for the removal of social media posts relating to the Knights of the Old Republic remake. Sony's relaxing comment should calm some of the fears surrounding the highly anticipated remake, giving faith that the Force is still strong with this project.

Meanwhile, Star Wars fans may immerse themselves in the legendary galaxy far away on December 8th, when a physical edition of the Star Wars Heritage Pack arrives, delivering a piece of the Star Wars universe straight into their hands.
