A new leak may have just revealed one of the biggest free games coming to PlayStation Plus next month and it's a great choice for action-RPG fans.
According to trusted insider billbil-kun, Lords of the Fallen will be one of the headline titles on the PlayStation Plus Essential lineup in April 2026. While Sony has yet to officially confirm the lineup, this source has a track record of accurate early reveals, making the leak difficult to dismiss.
To be clear this is the 2023 reboot developed by Hexworks and published by CI Games, not the original 2014 version of the same name. The newer title, released on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, offers a darker and more ambitious take on the Souls-like formula.
Set in a grim fantasy world thousands of years after the original game, players assume the role of a Dark Crusader tasked with defeating the demon god Adyr. The game combines brutal combat with exploration across two interconnected realms, providing a challenging experience compared to other Souls-inspired games.
Lords of the Fallen received mixed-to-positive reviews at launch, with scores ranging from 70 to 77 on aggregate platforms, but it performed well commercially, selling one million copies in just 10 days.
If the leak is true, subscribers will be able to claim the April games from April 7 to May 5. As always, once added to your library, the games will be playable as long as your PlayStation Plus subscription is active.
Until then, players can still get the March lineup, which includes Monster Hunter Rise, PGA Tour 2K25, Slime Rancher 2, and The Elder Scrolls Online, before it rotates out.
Sony is expected to officially announce the entire April 2026 lineup soon, so more titles will be revealed in the coming days. For the time being, Lords of the Fallen appears to be a solid addition, particularly for players seeking a challenging next-generation experience.
