Rayman Legends Retold Delayed to December
Fans who want to revisit one of Ubisoft's most popular platformers will have to wait a little longer. Rayman Legends Retold has been officially postponed, with Ubisoft shifting the remake's release date from October 1 to December 3, 2026.
The announcement comes just weeks before the original launch date. Ubisoft claims Rayman Legends Retold has already gone gold, but the team wants more time to polish the game and ensure the overall experience meets expectations.
“While the game has officially gone gold, we have decided to take extra time to make sure every detail gets the care it deserves,” Ubisoft said.
The delay does not mean that fans will have to wait until December to see more of the game. Ubisoft has confirmed that a new Game Overview trailer for Rayman Legends Retold will be released on September 22. On the same day, selected creators and press members are expected to provide fresh hands-on impressions.
What to Expect from Rayman Legends Retold
Rayman Legends Retold is an updated version of the 2013 platforming classic. Ubisoft is adding more than just graphical improvements to the remake, which will include new content designed to attract loyal players to return.
The game features new musical stages, additional areas, and a new final world. The remake is also expected to keep the fast-paced gameplay and colorful presentation that made the original Rayman Legends a fan favorite.
Rayman Legends Retold will be released for $39.99 on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC.
Although the delay may disappoint players who expected the game in October, the December release date may provide more breathing room during an exceptionally busy release season.
