Ubisoft may be preparing a major comeback for one of its most popular franchises. A recently leaked Xbox Store listing shows what appears to be Rayman Origins: Enhanced Edition, a remastered version of the acclaimed 2011 platformer. The leak comes after reports that Ubisoft is also working on Rayman Legends Retold, indicating a possible revival of the Rayman franchise after years of relative silence.

The Xbox Store page was reportedly removed shortly after it went live but not before fans captured screenshots and information about the unannounced game. According to the leaked information, Rayman Origins: Enhanced Edition will have upgraded visuals with support for 4K resolution and 60 frames per second, as well as several gameplay improvements created for modern audiences.

Rayman Origins Enhanced Edition Brings New Features and Accessibility Options

The leaked information suggests that Ubisoft has done more than just improve the game's graphics. Several new quality-of-life features are expected to be added making the experience more accessible and enjoyable for both newcomers and longtime fans.

One of the most significant additions is an Easy Mode, in which Murphy automatically collects medallions, easing some of the game's more difficult platforming requirements. Players may also gain access to different heart systems, such as blue hearts that allow three hits and gold hearts that can withstand four hits before being defeated.

Customization appears to be a major focus. According to the leak, the game will include over 100 character skins, allowing players to customize Rayman throughout the adventure. Certain elements have received visual updates, such as redesigned end-of-level signs and other aesthetic enhancements.

Previously Exclusive PS Vita Content Could Return

The leaked Xbox Store description also indicates that Rayman Origins: Enhanced Edition will include content previously exclusive to the PlayStation Vita version of the game. This reportedly includes 60 hidden Relics, giving players even more collectibles to discover during their journey.

Another detail that piqued fans' interest was the odd $1,999 price tag displayed on the store page. However, the majority believe this was simply a placeholder or a store error. According to reports, when Ubisoft officially announces the game, the price will likely be around $20.

Rayman Legends Retold Leak Points to a Bigger Franchise Revival

The Rayman Origins leak comes just days after news broke about another project, Rayman Legends Retold. According to industry insiders, Ubisoft Montpellier is developing the remake, which is scheduled to be released in October.

The rumored remake could include one of the franchise's most popular features: online co-op multiplayer for up to four players. The original Rayman Legends only supported local multiplayer, so online play represents a significant improvement for modern audiences.

According to reports, physical editions are planned for both the PlayStation 5 and the Nintendo Switch 2, with an official reveal expected during upcoming summer gaming showcases.

If the leaks are correct, 2026 could be a huge year for the Rayman franchise. The iconic character recently celebrated his 30th anniversary, and Ubisoft has already renewed interest in the franchise with anniversary releases and classic game collections.

According to reports, Ubisoft Milan is also working on a new AAA Rayman project, which has fans even more excited.
