Season 2 of Battlefield 6 is finally live after a one-month delay

Originally scheduled for January, the update was pushed to February 17 to give the team more time to polish the experience. Now, Phase One Extreme Measures is available, with more content arriving in March and April.

Battlefield 6 previously recorded the biggest launch in franchise history, selling over 7 million copies in its first three days, and Season 2 looks designed to keep that momentum going.

Phase One: Extreme Measures (Live Now)

• New map: Contaminated (supports all combat sizes, land vehicles, helicopters)

• Limited-time mode: VL-7 Strike (hallucinatory gas survival gameplay)

• Redsec modes: Gauntlet: Altered State, Battle Royale: Synthesis

• New vehicle: AH-6 Little Bird (NATO) / MH-350 (Pax Armata)

New weapons:

• GRT-CPS (DMR)

• VCR-2 (Assault Rifle)

• M121 A2 (LMG)

New gadgets:

• HTI-MK2 (Recon)

• 9K38 IGLA (Engineer)

Phase Two: Nightfall (March 17)

• New infantry-only map: Hagental Base

• Limited-time mode: Nightfall (low visibility, night vision focused)

• Redsec mode: Gauntlet: Nightfall

• New Redsec POI: Defense Testing Complex 3: Fort Lyndon

• New vehicle: Hayes M1030-1 (NATO) / TMO 450 (Pax Armata)

New weapons:

• CZ3A1 (SMG)

• VZ.61 (Sidearm)

Phase Three: Hunter / Prey (April 14)

• Limited-time mode: Operation Augur

• New vehicle: LTV

• New melee weapon: Kapok 14” Machete

• Portal update: Two new verified modes

Season 2 rolls out its content over three months, blending epic battles, stealthy night missions, and special limited-time modes to keep players hooked all season long.
