The much-awaited Shenmue 3 is finally taking shape. ININ Games and series creator Yu Suzuki have officially released the first trailer for Shenmue 3 Enhanced, as well as fresh information about the expanded release and physical editions.
This upgraded version, first announced last year, is more than just a re-release. Shenmue 3 Enhanced is now set to release in Q4 2026 on modern platforms such as PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC, making the series debut on Xbox and Nintendo systems for this chapter.
Shenmue 3 Enhanced Brings Sharper Visuals and Smoother Performance
As the name suggest the Enhanced edition aims to improve the overall experience. Players can expect sharper visuals with enhanced texture quality, faster performance, and shorter load times. The game also includes support for modern upscaling technologies such as DLSS and FSR, which can improve image quality and frame rates depending on your setup.
Aside from technical upgrades, the world has been slightly reworked to feel more alive. Expect increased NPC activity and subtle environmental improvements to make exploration feel richer without altering the core gameplay.
Shenmue 3 Enhanced Offers Three Editions Available to Pre-Order
Pre-orders for Shenmue 3 Enhanced are now live, with three different editions to choose from:
Standard Edition – Base game only
Special Edition – Includes the full game, a concept artbook, and a Blu-ray documentary exploring Yu Suzuki’s creative journey
Collector’s Edition – A premium package featuring everything in the Special Edition, plus exclusive collectibles like a detailed Ryo Hazuki figure, a traditional shikishi art board, kung fu cards, a poster, sticker sheet, keychain, and a wooden move scroll.

The Collector's Edition, in particular focuses heavily on the series' martial arts roots and legacy, providing long-time fans with a nostalgic collection of physical memorabilia.
