Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Delayed Until April

New Release date, Possible Reason and more.

EA has annouced that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is being delayed to April. The game was intially supposed to launch on March 17, 2023. Respawn Entertainment, the game's developer, concentrates on performance issues, bug repairs, and basically ensuring sure the game doesn't launch broken like so many others these days. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order's upcoming sequel from Respawn will now hit stores on April 28 - around six weeks later than initially scheduled.


The second portion of Cal Kestis' journey was highly awaited by many of his followers. The tweet that made the announcement was from the EA Star Wars account.

Director Stig Asmussen explained the delay in a message shared on social media, stating the team is concentrating on polishing the final release while increasing performance. The development team believes more time is required to polish the game because it is mostly a quality issue.

In order for the team to hit the Respawn quality bar, provide the team the time they need, and achieve the level of polish our fans deserve, we have added six crucial weeks to our release schedule – Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will now launch globally on April 28

The game, according to the studio, is now in its final development stage and has all of its content. Respawn continues by claiming that the follow-up is a

Jedi: Survivor is a direct response to the feedback from our community, delivering expansive destinations to explore, evolved combat and traversal, and of course, the continuation of Cal and BD's story.

This is the second big game delay of 2023 thus far. A few weeks ago, Ubisoft announced that Skull & Bones, its pirate ship game that has been stuck in development hell for a while, would have a sixth delay. Both events were initially scheduled for March, which currently appears to be a nearly empty month. The release schedule for games is starting to spread out a little bit rather than picking up in the months to come.


The performance of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is currently being improved, according to Respawn Entertainment. Additionally, efforts are being made to remove as many bugs as possible. It will be interesting to see if EA can stick to the revised deadlines or if there will be further delays.
