Suddenly, it looks like Bethesda's eagerly awaited Indiana Jones game may have accidentally revealed its name before this month's scheduled reveal.Kurakasis, a user renowned for their insightful knowledge, recently made known that Lucasfilm had registered many domains associated with the forthcoming game, "Indiana Jones and the Great Circle." Notably, one of these sites expressly defines it as a game effort.
The news that Lucasfilm had registered a trademark for "The Great Circle" in Europe two years before, listing video games as one of the intended products and services, only served to fuel the rumours.
The Indiana Jones game is presently being developed at MachineGames, a Swedish firm best known for its work on the current Wolfenstein titles. It was first revealed in January 2021.
Microsoft has stated that MachineGames would reveal this action-adventure game at a forthcoming Xbox and Bethesda conference on January 18. The presentation, dubbed "Developer_Direct," promises to feature over ten minutes of game and developer insights. This contains information about the game's setting and story, the distinctive Indiana Jones playing experience, more information about the protagonist's globe-trotting odyssey, and the debut of the first gameplay trailer.
Despite being initially scheduled for release on PlayStation, it was afterwards reported that the game will be an Xbox and PC exclusive, with a day-one launch on Game Pass. This exclusivity followed Microsoft's acquisition of ZeniMax Media, MachineGames' parent business.
Bethesda game director Todd Howard, who also acts as the project's executive producer and considers "Raiders of the Lost Ark" to be his favourite film, has described the game's genre as a "mash-up." Howard emphasised its individuality, claiming that it specifically combines numerous components, creating a varied and distinct gaming experience.
