Ubisoft is preparing for the highly anticipated release of Skull and Bones, with an open beta scheduled just before the game's formal debut next month.The open beta will run from February 8 to 11 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Ubisoft Connect and the Epic Games Store.
During the beta, players will be able to explore different in-game areas such as the Red Isle, Coast of Africa, Open Seas, and the East Indies, as well as interact with other factions through negotiations or intense naval battle, according to Ubisoft.
The Main Campaign Contracts will be an important part of the beta experience, helping players in developing their reputation and learning more about the game's high worlds. The beta allows players to continue through campaign contracts, culminating with the mission 'Exterminate the Rat.'
One important element of the beta is its support for cross-progression and cross-play, which guarantees an even gaming experience across platforms. Progression through the beta, up to the Brigand rank (Tiers 6 rank 1), will be carried over to the full game.
In addition to the beta announcement, Ubisoft has released a new trailer that reveals what players can expect from Skull & Bones over its first year. The game promises an immersive and broad experience, including battles with legendary pirates, exploration of endgame material, participation in world events, and empire building.
After a lengthy and at times unstable development, highlighted by many delays and a 2020 remake, Skull and Bones is finally due to hit the stores on February 16, 2024 Ubisoft has sweetened the deal by offering a three-day head start to customers who pre-order the game's Premium edition. The countdown to the high seas adventure is now underway.
