Microsoft has officially announced the first wave of games coming to Xbox Game Pass in December 2025, and it's building up to be one of the year's greatest month-openers. During the first half of the month, 12 titles will be added to the subscription service on Xbox consoles, PC, portable, and cloud platforms.

Two of the most significant additions — Marvel Cosmic Invasion and Mortal Kombat 1 — lead a broad list that includes AAA blockbusters, indie hits, and experimental new releases, offering players plenty of options before the holiday season begins.

Below is the complete schedule confirmed for the early December rollout:

Xbox Game Pass Price Changes Are Still In Effect

December also sees the continued distribution of Microsoft's new Game Pass tiers, which were introduced in October. The service now has three tiers: Ultimate, Premium, and Essential, replacing the previous Ultimate, Standard, and Core models. Notably:

  • Game Pass Ultimate now costs $29.99 / £22.99, up from $19.99 / £14.99, and includes new perks like Fortnite Crew and Ubisoft+ Classics.

  • PC Game Pass, which remains a standalone subscription, has also been adjusted to $16.49 / £13.49 per month, up from $11.99 / £9.99.

Despite the price increases, Microsoft looks to be devoted to improving month-to-month value — and December's selection is perhaps the best example yet, featuring blockbuster action, indie favorites, and multiple day-one launches.
