Microsoft has officially set the date and time for its largest gaming event of the summer. The Xbox Games Showcase 2026 will premiere on Sunday, June 7, as part of the Summer Game Fest weekend, beginning at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET / 6 PM BST. As in previous years the main presentation will be followed by an exclusive deep dive this time into Gears of War: E-Day.

Xbox has confirmed that both the showcase and the post-show "Direct" will be widely available, with support for over 40 languages, including American Sign Language and British Sign Language. A version with English audio descriptions will also be available. Fans can watch on platforms such as YouTube, Twitch, and Facebook.

Xbox Games Showcase 2026 Big Reveals and First Looks

According to Xbox, this year's showcase will feature "first gameplay looks and huge news" from its first-party studios, as well as updates from global third-party partners. Expect a mix of blockbuster franchises and rising indie titles, all with the goal of giving players a better picture of what's coming to the Xbox ecosystem.

A spotlight will next turn to Gears of War: E-Day Direct, where developer The Coalition will give fans a closer look at the highly anticipated prequel. The presentation promises new gameplay, story details, and behind-the-scenes looks at Emergence Day the catastrophic event that launched the iconic series.

What Games Could Appear?

While Microsoft has yet to confirm the full lineup, several upcoming titles are already on the horizon. Big names like Fable, Halo: Campaign Evolved, and Minecraft Dungeons are set to launch in 2026, making them prime candidates for updates during the show.

Other projects in development, including Clockwork Revolution, State of Decay 3, and OD, may also make an appearance. There's also interest in an unannounced title from Toys for Bob.

In the run-up to the showcase, Xbox has a busy release schedule. Kiln will be released on April 13, followed by Forza Horizon 6 on May 19, which will be available on Xbox Series X/S and PC before arriving on PS5 later this year.

The showcase takes place during a busy weekend, just days after the main Summer Game Fest 2026 kickoff on June 5 at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. With multiple major announcements expected across the industry, June's first week is shaping up to be one of the most important of the gaming year.

Following last year's showcase, which included major reveals and hardware announcements, expectations are high. With Xbox expanding portfolio of studios including Bethesda, Obsidian, Activision, and Blizzard, this year's event could provide a more in depth look at the platform's future.
