Capcom Reveals Resident Evil Veronica Remake, Bringing Back Horror Classic in 2027

Capcom has officially announced Resident Evil Veronica a modern remake of the popular survival horror game Resident Evil Code: Veronica. The announcement was made at Summer Game Fest 2026, where the publisher presented a cinematic trailer that piqued the interest of long-time Resident Evil fans. The game is set to release in 2027 for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC.
The reveal trailer showed players a mysterious female character exploring an apartment in Paris before revealing her identity as Claire Redfield, one of the franchise's most iconic protagonists. The footage hinted at a darker and more cinematic retelling of the original story, paving the way for a new take on one of Resident Evil's most popular remakes.
