The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences announced the nominees for the 27th annual DICE Awards 2024. In all, 56 games that were published over the last year have received recognition in 23 different prize categories. A wide variety of games are represented among the nominations; Spider-Man 2 has the most, with nine, followed by Alan Wake 2, with eight, Baldur's Gate 3, with seven, and Cocoon, with six.
Spider-Man 2, Alan Wake 2, Baldur's Gate 3, Cocoon, and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, which earned five nominations, will compete fiercely for the much awaited Game of the Year title.
The Aria Resort in Las Vegas will host the awards event on February 15, which will be decided by a peer-juried process. God of War Ragnarök and Elden Ring were the big winners of the 26th annual DICE categories. Sony's game took home seven categories, while From Software's Elden Ring took home the coveted Game of the Year honour.
