The highly anticipated sequel Hades 2 has just received a major update, alongside its release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, giving fans plenty of reasons to return to the underworld. While the official patch notes list dozens of gameplay changes, it is a hidden addition that has sparked the most excitement among the community.
Hades 2 Update Includes Secret New Mode
Supergiant Games quietly added a new mode called Dream Drives without much notice in the patch notes. Instead of the usual structured runs, players in this mode travel through a series of randomly generated combat arenas.
The fights are more difficult, but players earn Shiny Stars after completing stages. These can be used to unlock useful items near the end of a run. The mode provides a unique and unpredictable way to play the game.
Romance System Made Easier
The update also improves the way players form relationships with characters. Icarus, one of the most difficult characters to connect with, has become more approachable.
Players can now give gifts such as Bath Salts earlier in the game, and there is no limit to how many times they can be given. This makes it easier to unlock story moments featuring characters such as Moros and Nemesis.
The update also includes improved weapon effects, stronger abilities for some powers, and a large amount of new dialogue throughout the game. These changes enhance both gameplay and storytelling.
Hades 2 is the sequel to Hades, a game that was highly praised and won several major awards. Now that Hades 2 is available on consoles and continues to receive regular updates with new features its popularity is steadily growing. This latest update makes the game more fun and accessible for both new and returning players while also adding fresh content to keep things interesting.
